Position Summary
The Sponsorship Intern will gain insight into the world of events, specifically corporate involvement, promotions, and onsite activations. The Sponsorship Intern will learn about the sales process, creating and executing cross-promotions, in-kind procurement, benefit fulfillment, branding, and client relationships. This is an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a multi-faceted view of the events industry, from sales and marketing to onsite production.
Responsibilities
- Administrative duties in support of sponsorship-to-marketing department coordination efforts
- Procure in-kind product donations and coordinate in-kind deliveries at events
- Collect and track event information from clients throughout the season
- Compile onsite staff tech books detailing sponsor benefits, hospitality, and activation details
- Prepare and track sponsor ticket and benefits packages
- Monitor & troubleshoot sponsorships onsite at Bumbershoot at the Family 4th
Qualifications
- Confident and mature communicator with exceptional written and verbal skills
- Ability to maintain composure in high pressure, time-sensitive situations
- Willing to get your hands dirty—position requires physical labor at events (Intern must be able to lift 25lbs and spend significant time standing and walking)
- Upbeat attitude and sense of humor
- Keen eye for detail when tracking large amounts of information
- Ability to take initiative and make on-the-fly decisions with common sense and situational awareness
- Experience using Keynote or Powerpoint a plus
- Can work well as a member of a team and independently
- Sincere desire to learn and be a committed part of a hard-working, fun-having, event-loving team
